Chapter 261

BOOM—!

A massive explosion swept through Valhalla’s mountain peak, completely blowing the castle and the mountain supporting it apart.

"You aren't that big of a deal." JiHan was unharmed by the explosion, and Sae-jin somehow barely survived behind him. After the first Dragon Flare, the Sword King was in a near-death state. He’d only survived the second explosion, for the most part, due to JiHan standing in front of him.

"Thanks for blocking for me, but next time, I'll do it myself,” Sae-jin said with a bitter smile on his face. “If I can't be of help, I at least shouldn't be a burden."

"Understood." JiHan nodded.

“To think you'd be able to endure a Dragon Flare with the strength of a worthless species… You're stronger than I thought,” the dragon muttered.

JiHan smirked and said, "You're also quite strong compared to other dragons." The Dragon Flare, which caused a massive explosion in an instant, was more formidable than most of the attacks he’d faced in ‘Space - 4’ so far.

'Dragons in ‘Space - 4’ should be stronger than a dragon species that was just promoted. How strange.' The League held renowned players from across the universe, so it was only natural to expect the dragons participating in it to be stronger than a dragon species that had just made it to Bronze. Altkaizen was bigger and more powerful than the dragons he'd met before.

“Other dragons? Where have you seen other dragons?” Altkaizen asked.

"I've seen a lot in the Space League."

“It seems that you've faced normal dragons. I'm a descendant of the Dragon Lord. I can’t be compared to them.”

"Weren't you from a side branch?"

“Even someone from a side branch is on a whole different level.”

Fwoosh—!

The heads of the dragons Altkaizen had absorbed rose from his body, each with a face from a different species, and they all looked like they were in pain. A moment later, they returned to his body.

“Normal dragons cannot assimilate with eggs,” the red dragon said.

"Is the Dragon Lord's power based on devouring his eggs? How trashy."

“I don't understand you… Don't you know how much of a blessing it is to be able to unite with me, Altkaizen?”

"Yes. I'm not sure what's so good about that."

“Then take a look.” The red dragon extended his wings, and flames rose in every direction as dozens of words were written in the air.

Swoosh—!

“Kill each other,” the dragon commanded.

Sae-jin, who was standing behind JiHan, frowned. "U, ugh…! D-dodge!" he yelled before he began swinging his Twin Swords at JiHan. He was in bad condition, and his swords were melted, so his movements were slow and dull. Still, he had no control over his body.

"M-my body isn't under my control… Brother-in-law, kill me!"

"Understood." JiHan swiftly took the Twin Swords from Sae-jin. "Take a rest." Then, he pushed him down the mountain. Even if the one being controlled was his brother-in-law, he didn't hesitate to do what he had to do. The dragon’s command hadn’t worked on him, at least.

“The dragon language doesn’t work on you…? How strange.” Altkaizen looked at JiHan in disbelief. How could such an irregular emerge from such an insignificant species?

“I should properly experiment with you.” Up until that moment, Altkaizer didn't consider JiHan a danger; he just thought of him as an 'experimentation subject'.

"I should get serious," JiHan said.

Combined Origin Divine Arts Heavenly Lightning Phoenix Flames Technique: Red Lightning Cannon.

Red lightning poured from the tip of JiHan’s spear and tore the dragon’s shields apart before shooting through his body.

“Wh-what's this attack…?!” the dragon screamed, only just realizing that JiHan’s previous attacks had been light swings compared to the red lightning empowered by the new Purple Cloud Divine Arts. The dragon’s body melted beneath the onslaught.

"Is this all a dragon has to offer?" JiHan asked.

“Ugh…!"

"You're so weak that you won't even be enough for an experiment," JiHan teased.

“You… insolent brat…!” The red dragon’s body tried to regenerate, but…

"Try to survive this," Jihan said before vanishing and cutting the dragon into many different pieces.

Altkaizen had overwhelmed humanity with his mere presence, but as soon as he engaged in a one-on-one battle with JiHan, he was hopelessly overpowered.

= JiHan's dominating the game… He's toying with the dragon!

= How many times has the dragon's body been shattered?

= The opposing dragon is unable to put up a fight!

= Still, he's persistently coming back to life…! I hope he just dies off!

Sure enough, Altkaizen’s ruined body regenerated in the blink of an eye whenever JiHan cut him apart.

“You. Kill yourself…!” As soon as Altkaizen revived, he used his dragon language on JiHan.

"Was that dragon language again?” JiHan asked. “I told you, it doesn't work on me." He ignored the command and cut the dragon down again.

Slash—!

It was a very one-sided battle.

- At first, the dragon seemed strong… but now it’s just a punching bag.

- Didn't you know that JiHan previously survived a fight with dragons and giants? Whether he has whatever blood or not, there's no way the dragon could beat him, lol.

- Sung JiHan >>>>>>> dragons >>>>>>> humanity…

- Based on today's game, that seems accurate.

The red-headed dragonkin had crushed humanity in the first game, and most of the Warriors were annihilated by a single Dragon Flare in the fourth game, so many had thought they’d lose. They were relieved to see JiHan, the sole survivor, one-sidedly stomping on the dragon.

- Why he won't die? How annoying.

- Is the Space League always like this? Why is it full of immortals?

- Yeah, we saw it start with the elves. It's annoying how they manage to regenerate each time.

When the audience saw the red dragon continuously regenerating, they started to worry that they might lose when the time limit was reached.

'I've used enough Purple Cloud Divine Arts.’ Having become accustomed to using the Purple Cloud Divine Arts thanks to the excellent dragon sandbag, JiHan thought it was time to end the game.

BZZT—!

A more powerful Red Lightning Cannon engulfed Altkaizen's body and annihilated him.

Fwoosh—!

Flames soared from where Altkaizen had disappeared, and he reappeared in his dragon form again. “You monster…! So you were holding back your power in hidden boss mode! You won't be able to destroy me before this round ends! If time runs out, victory will be ours…!”

Having given up on winning through combat, Altkaizen aimed to stall for time. Although there were more survivors on the human side with JiHan and Sae-jin, who'd fallen from the peak, they had to consider the uniqueness of the dragon species.

= Each dragon counts as 10 humans, right?

= The four eggs are also considered dragons… so the system could calculate it as 50 dragon survivors.

= If he continues to revive without them dying, just as the dragon said, we might end up losing the 4th round!

“I’ll ban you in the next game!” Altkaizen confidently yelled, even though he was being killed again and again.

JiHan frowned when he saw how the dragon was reviving over and over again. 'I haven't encountered a dragon with such regenerative ability before. Is it something unique to the Dragon Lord's lineage?'

He'd used the Purple Cloud Divine Arts, so his attacks had been imbued with void. It should’ve countered such regeneration, but Altkaizen was somehow resisting it and still reviving. Even JiHan was starting to worry about the time running out.

He decided to look for the cause.

Combined Origin Divine Arts God-killing Technique: Frozen Sky Sword Rain.

JiHan's Eclipse froze and flew up into the sky.

CRACK—!

The sky around the sword began freezing rapidly.

'Now, the sword will find the source of that regenerative ability.' The Frozen Sky Sword Rain had successfully discovered how the urks’ leader was regenerating, so he was hoping for the same type of thing again.

'Huh? Where is it going? The sword just kept soaring upward until it vanished from sight with the frozen sky.

= That skill seems to be the one JiHan used to suppress the urk.

= Why's the ice floating?

= Ah. It disappeared!

The commentators hoped the game would end when JiHan used the Frozen Sky Sword Rain, but they couldn't contain their dismay as they watched the sword fly away. Could it be that they were going to lose due to time running out?

"Hmm…" JiHan realized where the sword was headed and decided to retrieve it. "Return."

“Have you gone mad with the time ticking away?” the dragon asked. “You used a skill in a very strange way.” The dragon laughed at him.

"The sword flew toward the sun…" JiHan said.

“What…?”

"So the sun is the source of your regeneration."

“Ha. This is a power possessed by those who have inherited the blood of the Dragon Lord! You're spouting nonsense out of frustration since you misused your skill!”

"Really? Then, let's test it." Void energy began to fluctuate from JiHan’s Eclipse, and darkness spread in every direction.

“Warp!” Altkaizen tried to escape as far as he could.

"This map's small." JiHan quickly caught up to him and swung his sword.

Combined Origin Divine Arts Shadow Secret Technique: Dark Shadow Sword.

Swoosh—!

The shadow energy exploded outward, darkness engulfed Altkaizen's body, and it soon became a huge pillar that stretched into the sky.

“Nonsense! Look at this. Aren't I still reviving?” Within the dark pillar, Altkaizen regenerated again in a fiery revival, but the flames looked weaker. “Damn… My eggs…!” The four fire dragons he’d absorbed were losing their strength.

"I was right. It's the sun," JiHan said.

“How…?” Altkaizen was about to ask how JiHan had figured out something even he wasn’t aware of, but his body quickly faded into the darkness, leaving him unable to continue speaking.

[The fourth game has ended.]

[‘Humanity’ wins.]

[‘Sung JiHan’ has been selected as the MVP.]

[The grand constellation, 'Dragon Lord', is interested in you.]

[He wishes to sponsor you. Will you accept?]

JiHan’s eyes widened. Not only was the Dragon Lord asking to sponsor him, but… 'A grand constellation…?'

He’d never heard of a grand constellation before.
