Reincarnator’s Stream

Chapter 48

The settlement statement was a detailed record of the points the streamer would receive from the company. It showed how much revenue was generated, the settlement ratio between the streamer and the company, and the total amount settled.

Upon checking the details, Su-hyeok's eyes widened. "Is this really the earnings from just a few days…?"

The amount left him speechless.

Un-hyang excitedly responded with, "This time, it was a bit of a special case. There was a successful collaboration, and thanks to Reinhardt, the donations were substantial as well."

Su-hyeok had some expectations regarding the collaboration. During the stream, he'd looked at how many donations were coming in and had calculated about half the amount.

He was more surprised by the total earnings from just three days. "The revenue generated by the video is 24,119 points. The advertising revenue alone was 6,000 points. Advertising?"

"Yes. Yesterday, we got our first ad. Although the price isn't that high yet, the fact that an ad was placed already is a good sign."

The ratio of other revenues, excluding donations, was 60% to 40%. That meant the original price for the ad was 10,000 points. The same was true for the video revenue. The fact that he received 24,000 points meant that the original profit was 40,000.

'The donation revenue is 18,000 points. Totaling 49K.'

A total of 49,789 points. He'd received nearly 50,000 points in that settlement alone.

'It's more than I expected.' He'd been worrying about a significant drop in revenue due to having taken a few days off from streaming.

Selling the byproducts obtained from hunting would bring in some money, but he thought that he was still far from the 80,000 points needed to level up his skill.

The stream revenue changed the story.

'If I play my cards right, I might be able to reach my goal in the next stream.' Each time, the points he needed to level up the skill doubled. He’d started to feel the burden of it, but such a lump sum made him feel excited enough to dance.

He continued to stare at the statement and suddenly became curious. "I should check out what kind of video it was."

He entered Playerz and searched 'Lee Su-hyeok'.

Hundreds of thousands of videos came up, some talking about Su-hyeok’s achievements in his past life or analyzing and praising him.

The first video to catch Su-hyeok’s attention was quite particular…

[Lee Su-hyeok, Reincarnated.]

When he saw the title, Su-hyeok took a slight glimpse at Un-hyang and then checked the video.

The video immediately started with an empty stream without a single viewer—Su-hyeok’s first stream.

"I told you, right? I was your first viewer," Un-hyang confidently said.

Su-hyeok nodded. He remembered that she'd told him that and had been pretty surprised.

The video quickly transitioned to a chat window, showing only four viewers.

- Do people start streaming from the 2nd floor these days?

- I've seen some. Most of them quickly quit because of no viewers.

Being underestimated was inevitable. It was a bit embarrassing to call yourself a player on the 2nd floor. On top of that, Su-hyeok had given off a somewhat naive impression in his first streams.

- Is it okay to stream already? If it's the 2nd floor, this should be the ‘Beginning's Dungeon’. That means those dark places…

Contrary to the concerns, Su-hyeok easily took down the monster.

Whoosh—

"You're right. They appear out of nowhere.”

"Do you know how surprised I was?” Un-hyang asked. “You were too clean."

"You can do it even more easily, right?" Su-hyeok replied.

"I'm talking about if everyone’s stats and levels were the same. Levels go up, but that kind of sense isn't something just anyone has."

She certainly had a keen eye. Usually, people didn't think that far. Su-hyeok didn't respond to her comment. There was no need to instill unnecessary suspicion.

To make matters worse, the video even had a provocative title about reincarnation.

The video showed Su-hyeok slaughtering monsters one after another. After the same kind of scene repeated a few times, Su-hyeok reached the end of the dungeon.

Grand background music accompanied a close-up of the sleeping Wolf Warrior Greg.

- Finally, the boss.

- That wolf bastard… It's still intimidating.

- I was blocked by that guy eight times.

Wolf Warrior Greg seemed inordinary from the start. With the background music, close-ups, and even slow motion, it was clear that a lot of effort had been put into editing.

'It's more exciting than I thought.' The long stream had been compressed, highlighting only the necessary parts while music and special effects were added to it, making it look like a movie.

It was evident that a lot of effort had been put into the fight against the boss.

'Even Un-hyang said that this is why Balhae Entertainment first became interested in me.'

The wolf warrior wasn't just a boss. It wasn't an opponent meant to be defeated in the first place—it had been created to evaluate the player.

It was supposed to be impossible to defeat. That’s why Su-hyeok's stream first became a hot topic, and the video was meant to emphasize that.

After the fight with the boss ended…

[You can challenge the 'Fire Trial.']

[You can challenge the 'Water Trial.']

[You can challenge the 'Sky Trial.']

[You can challenge the 'Ice Trial.']

.

.

Among all the options available, what Su-hyeok picked was, as expected…

[You've chosen the 'Lightning Trial'.]

Finally, the video came to an end after more than 30 minutes.

"It was a highlight video, but they said there weren't many things to edit. There were just too many important scenes."

Most of it, except for when he was just walking, was included in the video.

Su-hyeok checked the video's views.

'240,000. The rating is 4.5 stars.'

There weren’t as many views as he thought there would be. The other video, though, had a surprising view count.

[How do you get the Lightning skill? Like this. Quite easy, right?]

The lengthy video lasted over 40 minutes and had a staggering 1.4 million views. It began with a sudden fight against giants, followed by a linked scenario video.

The scenario called 'Survival' depicted the story of humans targeting the isolated giant race's leader to end the fight once and for all.

However, the giants had laid a trap for the humans, and the terrified humans began to flee from them.

"Aren't you going?"

"What…?"

"You have to get out of here so you don’t get in my way." Su-hyeok took a step forward.

'I did look cool right then.' Su-hyeok started to understand why people watched the videos. It felt like he was watching a movie. Unlike streams, it was more fast-paced, and the music enhanced things.

Flying above the giants' heads, Su-hyeok soared high toward the leader of the giants. His red-glowing magic flashed in a close-up, piercing the leader’s neck.

"Woah…" Un-hyang, who was watching the video with him, let out an exclamation. Even though she'd seen the scene many times, she reacted like it was the first.

Somehow, she’d gotten a cake from who-knows-where and piled it high with fruits. "This part was really amazing. The wolf warrior and the giant race's leader… How did you even think of taking them down?"

"I just felt that I could do it…"

"Were you assessing the situation from the beginning? As expected…"

While they were chatting, the leader of the giants took his last breath, and thunder echoed from the sky.

WHOOM—!

[Skill Obtained - ‘Lightning'.]

With that, the second video ended.

'It cut off at the perfect time.'

The death of the giant's leader was followed by the appearance of the Lightning skill, which appeared with thunder.

Fans who were nostalgic about Lee Su-hyeok would probably go crazy from curiosity after watching the video.

└ (best) Why cut it off here? asdfasdfasf

└ (best) If this becomes the top comment, I will hold my breath until the next part comes out.

└ Done!

└ Lee Su-hyeok is absolutely insane, lol. This applies to both.

└ When's this person's next stream?

└ Who knows? He streams whenever he wants.

└ They say that even his personality resembles Lee Su-hyeok’s. I actually like that.

There were lots of comments, and the view count was still climbing.

"The revenue from the rising view counts will continue to be calculated. As the number of videos increases, the income will keep increasing," Un-hyang said.

"I'm glad I decided to stream."

It took a lot of time to succeed as a player and start generating significant income. In contrast, a streamer could earn a lot of points regardless of their abilities as long as they had popularity.

Bbak Su-hyeok and Hawk Eye were great examples.

"It seems that everyone's waiting for your next stream. Ever since the video went up, your subscriber count has increased by 20,000."

The video's popularity brought additional benefits. The subscriber count was quickly increasing. It seemed that they had decided to subscribe after watching the video.

"It's tomorrow, right? Your return," Un-hyang asked.

"It wasn't that long of a break to call it a return, right?"

"For me, it felt like forever, hehe." Un-hyang awkwardly smiled and took another bite of the remaining cake.

Su-hyeok nodded. "Yes. I'm planning to start again tomorrow."

A tournament would be held on the 3rd floor and feature a relic from a member of Blue Eyes. That tournament would be the first content featured on Su-hyeok's next stream.

"I have to show them how I win it," Su-hyeok said.

Un-hyang hesitated at his confidence, seeming to want to say something. In the end, she refrained and made the same kind of expression as she had when Blue Zone contacted them.

"What's wrong?" Su-hyeok asked.

"It isn't that I doubt you. I really don't have even a tiny bit of doubt."

"You’re talking around the problem, and it's starting to get suspicious."

Un-hyang said, "I have a friend named Cheong-ryang. He likes to gamble."

"He likes to gamble?"

"Yes. He bets on who's going to win a particular tournament or on a specific guild's victory. Things like that… where you put your money on the line."

Did things like that appear too? The world really had changed a lot.

"So what about it?"

"Right now, Su-hyeok, you pay out three times the amount on bets."

"Three times?" The payout was higher than expected. That meant there was another contender besides himself.

"Yes. The other contender is a player named Omar Schneider."

As expected, it was a name he'd never heard before. After all, Su-hyeok had never paid attention to players on the 3rd floor.

"He’s a Blue Zone player who's been on the 3rd floor for 10 years."

"He’s from Blue Zone?"

"Yes."

Su-hyeok didn’t like the guild the man was affiliated with, so he began disliking the man as well. Su-hyeok frowned from behind his mask and asked, "Why's a 10-year repeat player so highly regarded?"

"Because he hasn't been stuck here due to a lack of skill."

"Then why is he here?"

"He has a goal, and it's the same as yours."

That was also one of the reasons why this tournament was getting so much attention.

"He’s after the Thunder Cave clear… You might even run into him not just tomorrow, but in the next trial as well."
