Chapter 44
The Playerz's community was abuzz. It wasn't just the streaming community, either. The rankers watching the new rookies on the lower floors and all of the guilds were just as interested.
▶ Reasons why Fake Su-hyeok is a fraud ▶
▶ It's all rigged. How could you believe this? ◀
▶ Reasons why Su-hyeok 2.0 is a reincarnation (Photo) ◀
There was a conspiracy going around that it had been planned and manipulated by Balhae Entertainment. On the other hand, many people believed in it.
└ How could they have manipulated this? Please, explain.
└ People are really overly suspicious, hahaha.
└ I'm tired of the conspiracy theorists.
└ Why don't you say the Lightning skill is fake, too? Hahaha.
Public opinion was boiling over. It was the same among the guilds. Balhae Entertainment was busy with unexpected contacts from the organizations.
The problem was that most weren't trying to collab with him—they were trying to recruit him.
"He said he wouldn't join any guilds." Whenever that happened, Un-hyang conveyed Su-hyeok's words. "He said that, if they have anything to say to him, they should do it through donations…"
John Tail couldn't help but be surprised. He started to doubt whether Su-hyeok really was someone who had just started streaming.
"Hmm~" Un-hyang lay down on the soft bed. On top of it were numerous snacks, like jerky, sweets, and jellies. "This is why I love being the manager~"
That morning, after finishing breakfast, Su-hyeok left the dorm to take the trial. That meant that he would soon start streaming.
Un-hyang had brought a bunch of her favorite snacks and was waiting for Su-hyeok's stream to start. She was staring at the kit while waiting for the message announcing the stream when she remembered what she'd told Su-hyeok.
"You might be surprised. Be ready for when I tell you."
"Hngh…" Why had she said that?
'He won't think I'm strange, right?' She should have just kept her mouth shut.
Thinking that it was the first time Lee Su-hyeok had asked something about herself, she ended up saying unnecessary things.
"Aah-!"
Paf, paf—!
Once again, Un-hyang began punching the pillow. Obviously, the feathers inside it burst out and scattered all over the room.
She was screaming in embarrassment when the message she’d been waiting for arrived.
['Lee Su-hyeok' has started streaming.]
In actuality, it was the message that over 10,000 subscribers had been waiting for.

The 3rd floor's trial…
While standing at the entrance of the portal, Su-hyeok greeted the viewers flooding into his channel.
"'Lee Su-hyeok, I love you' Thanks for the 1,000-point donation. You came again. Ah, Mission Villain… Yes. Let's see if you can win your bet today." Having done it a few times, he was somewhat accustomed to interacting with the viewers.
- The manager asked me to subscribe, so I clicked twice!
- Which faction are you going to choose for the 3rd floor?
- Aren't you going to join Blue Zone?
- Suhi~!
- Are you playing solo again?
Could it be due to the influx of new viewers? As soon as he started streaming, countless messages flooded in. Some came in as donations, although the amounts donated were mostly small.
While it was impossible to respond to every chat, it wasn't easy to ignore donations. Especially considering the nature of his stream, which focused on trials. That was precisely when the donations were most active, right at the start of the stream.
"Yes. I'm playing solo again. I guess I'm more comfortable by myself."
['Golden Lion' has donated 500 points.]
[Are you really not going to collab with Reinhardt?]
Golden Lion was the name of the guild Reinhardt belonged to. They seemed to be a fan of Reinhardt, considering that the user had changed their nickname to that.
"Yes, for now, I'm going to focus on climbing the tower."
['World Tree 3' has donated 5,000 points.]
[Mr. Lee, hello. I'm Raymond of the World Tree Guild. I have something important to discuss. Do you have a moment?]
Even guilds started showing interest.
Su-hyeok smiled upon seeing the generous donation. "I don't think it's time yet. Thanks for the donation."
Su-hyeok had no intention of joining a guild, but that didn't mean there was nothing to be gained from them.
It had already been 10 minutes since the stream started. Su-hyeok checked the number of viewers.
[Viewers: 2719]
2,700 people. It was a significant increase from before. At that rate, he might be able to reach 4,000 or even 5,000.
'The collab stream was quite effective.' His subscriber count had also exceeded 10,000. He'd heard that an edited video would be uploaded soon and that the earnings from the prior day’s collaboration would be settled.
He understood why the company regretted having missed the chance of collaborating with Reinhardt.
'The stream is going smoothly.' If things continued like that, everything would be fine.
The pace at which he was accumulating points was faster than expected. All he needed to do was keep providing the content they wanted to see.
That was too easy to do, after all…
'I'm Lee Su-hyeok.'
Step—
He began walking to take the exam.
With his eyes gleaming, Su-hyeok said. "Then, let's start the stream."
Paf—
When he stepped into the portal, a bright halo of light enveloped him.
- Let's go!
- Let's go~!

[The 3rd floor's trial is starting.]
In the midst of a pure white background, the trial started.
[Choose your faction.]
[Odman Kingdom - View details]
[Conrad Kingdom - View details]
The trial on the 3rd floor varied greatly depending on your faction. Each faction was hostile toward the other, and people received different quests based on their affiliation.
- This is definitely an Odman pick.
- Odman is outdated.
- Didn't they suck all the honey out? Isn't it now just an empty house?
- But going to Conrad is a bit…
There was a brief debate about the two factions. It seemed he didn't need to go through the trouble of looking up information beforehand.
Which side is better? Although the answer to that question was obvious, Su-hyeok's answer was the opposite.
[You've chosen the 'Conrad Kingdom.']
[Complete quests and earn achievement points.]
[Owned achievement points: 0]
[Required achievement points: 10,000]
Conrad… As soon as he made the decision, the chat flared up again.
- Yes, this is it.
- I was expecting this, hahaha.
- Odman was too predictable.
- Well, he might be okay choosing this.
Conrad… Only about 3% of all players choose the faction, and there was a reason as to why.
[You're moving to the 'Conrad Kingdom.']
Fwoosh—!
The pure white scenery gained color, and the faintly colored landscape wavered like a mirage before becoming clear.
In a building filled with the scent of men, Su-hyeok's view was filled with the sight of muscled mercenaries.
- Son in Conrad, they're mercenaries?
- Why are the facilities so shabby?
‘Mercenary’ was the status assigned to all players in the Conrad Kingdom, including Su-hyeok.
Just when Su-hyeok started the trial in the Conrad Kingdom…
"What's up with this wimpy-looking guy?" A man bumped Su-hyeok's shoulder as he passed by.
Thud—
"Why are you standing around like an idiot? You're in the way." The towering man glanced at Su-hyeok and clicked his tongue. He'd deliberately bumped into him, even though he could have passed without issue.
Su-hyeok wasn't dumb enough to not notice. "He bumped into me." Su-hyeok adjusted his microphone while his eyes gleamed. "I guess he's happy to see me."
- Hahaha.
- Happy indeed, lol.
Thud—
Su-hyeok approached the man who had bumped into him and placed his hand on the man's shoulder.
When the man turned around, their eyes met. The man frowned in a menacing manner. "What? Got something to say?"
"Of course. You just bumped into my shoulder." Su-hyeok glanced at the badge hanging on the man's shoulder. He had a silver badge, symbolizing a B-rank mercenary. It was a fairly high rank that would make him confident enough to pick fights.
"If you have something to say, say it. Are you mute?"
"Oh, right. The mic."
- He forgot again.
- He's good at everything except streaming, hahaha.
- From the mercenary's perspective, he just stopped him and then stood still blankly, lol.
Feeling momentarily embarrassed, Su-hyeok quickly adjusted his mic back to normal and repeated the same words again.
"So what are you going to do about it? You’re an E-rank piece of trash."
The E rank was the mercenary rank assigned to Su-hyeok. All players who started in Conrad began as E-rank mercenaries, which was three ranks lower than B.
"You don't know how things work here? If you're weak and have a low rank, you get trampled over." The man grinned nastily. "You should be grateful it just ended with a shoulder bump, don't you think?"
The atmosphere between the two drew attention from people around them.
"What? A fight?"
"It seems so."
"Who's that? A newbie?"
"Seems like it. Can they even fight? The rank difference is too big."
"That Vulture guy is at it again, picking fights with E-rank mercenaries."
Onlooker chatter reached Su-hyeok's ears. Some of them seemed to be hoping that Su-hyeok would be beaten down.
Well, mercenaries were brutal, sweaty, and aggressive in nature.
'Especially in small, rural guilds like this.' Su-hyeok smiled at the gathering crowd.
The audience was sufficient. "That's right, I'm E-rank."
BZZT—
Magic Power rose from Su-hyeok's fingertips.
['Lighning' permeates your hand.]
Paf—
He punched the man's jaw incredibly quickly before returning to his original position. "I won’t be an E-rank for much longer, though."
"What nonsense…" The man's legs gave out mid sentence. His pupils rolled back, revealing the whites of his eyes.
Su-hyeok lightly pushed the man's falling body to the side.
BOOM—
The wooden floor echoed as the man's body hit the ground. The unexpected outcome left the onlookers momentarily dumbfounded.
"Huh…?"
"Why did he suddenly collapse?"
"Was he hurt?"
It all happened so quickly that most people didn't understand why he'd collapsed.
"Hey, Vulture! Are you okay?"
"What's up with this bastard? Does he have some kind of chronic illness?"
"I did hear his mother has been sick recently…"
"You idiot! Why would he suddenly collapse because his mother is sick?"
Meanwhile, the man's comrades, who'd been mixed in with the onlookers, rushed over. It was a group of mercenaries that were made up of C, D, and one B-rank.
They glared at Su-hyeok and ground their teeth.
"You bastard, are you feeling lucky?"
"What are you staring at? Should I peel off your face along with that weird mask of yours?"
"Did that bastard do something?"
Su-hyeok scratched his head and adjusted the microphone. "It seems they didn't see it." He intended to leave a strong impression on everyone during the initiation, but it seemed that it had been too much.
Well, it was fortunate.
Mercenaries were known to like to pick fights.
Thud, thud—
Su-hyeok slowly relaxed his fist and said, "This time, I'm going to hit them a bit slower."
